Accommodation has been arranged for the duration of the School, from Tuesday, July 2nd (check-in after 6 pm) until Friday, July 12th (checkout at 10am), at the Vila Universitària UAB located in the UAB Campus, within walking distance from the Institute of Space Sciences.
Apartments are shared by two persons and include cooking facilities. Reservations will be handled directly by the school organizers, for the selected participants who applied for such a choice in the registration form.

NB: Students from outside the Barcelona area that need lodging during the School should make sure to state this in the registration form.

There is a hotel next to la Vila Universitària (Hotel Exe Campus) as an alternative, but is not included in the registration fee and should be paid and organized by each attendee.

How to get here - Directions

The Institute of Space Sciences and the Vila Universitària are located at the Campus of the Universitat Autonòma de Barcelona (UAB), close to Bellaterra and about 20 km away from downtown Barcelona. You can check the location of Vila Univesitària here: https://goo.gl/maps/ej8LUPzFSTp   From downtown Barcelona to the UAB Campus (Institute and Vila Universitària) Take the FGC train line S2 (general link here, and link for S2 line here) departing from Plaza Catalunya and stopping at the Bellaterra or Universitat Autonòma (UAB) stops (maps below). The trip is about 40 minutes. You will need a 1-zone ticket (there are multiple options: Senzill: 2,55 euros for 1 single ride; T-causal: 12,15 euros for a pack of 10 tickets; T-usual: 21,35 euros for unlimited trips during 30 days; T-dia: 11,20 euros for unlimited trips during 1 day). From the Barcelona (El Prat) airport to the UAB Campus The only direct transportation from the airport to the UAB Campus is a taxi. It is a 30-40 minutes drive up to 1 hour in rush hour. The cost of the service is around 40-50 €.
