Invited Speakers

Alexandra Amon

"The age of weak lensing surveys"

Alex is a senior Kavli Fellow at Cambridge University, as well as a Senior Researcher at Trinity College, Cambridge. Expert in using large cosmological datasets from galaxy surveys to map the large-scale structure of the Universe and test the Standard Model of Cosmology, in particular using weak gravitational lensing.

Francisco Villaescusa Navarro

"Cosmology in the machine learning era"

Paco is a research scientist at the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) of the Simons Foundation in New York City and a visiting research scholar at Princeton University. Expert in combining machine/deep learning techniques with very large sets of state-of-the-art numerical simulations, with the goal of using cosmological observations to learn about fundamental physics.

Eleonora di Valentino

"An overview on cosmological tensions"

Eleonora is a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow at the University of Sheffield. Expert in constraining fundamental physics with cosmological data, in the last years focused her research on exploring the current tensions between the cosmological parameters looking for a physical solution beyond the Standard Cosmological model.
